How to Keep Your Guests Cool in the Heat

Most couples tend to choose summer months in the hope that their wedding day will be sunny and warm. Although the British weather can be VERY unpredictable, Summer can be hot, hot, hot and in the heat it is very important to keep you and your guests cool.

Most importantly, water! Make sure you have plenty of water, especially if you are in a marquee. Having jugs dotted around with glasses that are easily accessible for all those in need of a thirst quencher is an ideal and low maintenance solution.

Curb the booze. As sad as it is to say, alcohol is dehydrating, so make sure your guests have plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives to stay hydrated.

Offer areas of shade, perhaps hire some standing umbrellas for guests to congregate under. Another option is to hire a second small marquee for your outside area. This can be decorated to fit the styling of your event and be a great place to serve drinks from.

Pick a suitable wedding favour. Personalise folding fans, hats and/or sunglasses for your guests. It's practical and oh so pretty. What better way to show your guests you are thinking of them surviving the warmth, than with a gift they can take away.
